A 160,756-acre wildlife refuge located in Desha, Monroe, Phillips, and Arkansas counties in the U.S. state of Arkansas. The refuge is managed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.
The White River NWR offers world-class hunting, fishing, and birdwatching along the White River corridor. The refuge protects bottomland hardwood forests, providing critical habitat for migratory birds, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and a wide variety of fish species.
